Swan Song - 最后梅好的回响 - The Last Tribute to Anita Mui.

You could have seen him at your dinner & dance.
You could have seen him at the defunct Boom Boom Room.
You could have even seen him performing at your RC event at the void deck of your HDB block.

Performing professionally for more than a decade as an entertainer, impersonating the Queen of Stage, Anita Mui; Lezard Cheung will sing his last on 1st December at Kreta Ayer People's Theatre in favour of a spiritual life.

Aptly titled Swan Song, the two hour concert will bring you back the memories of Anita when Lezard sings. His voice is described by some as hair raising as his resemblance to the late singer is uncanny. An audience who saw his show wrote on her blog that "this gentleman, sings, dance, move and breathe like the real Mui..."

On that Lezard replies "I think I managed to capture the essence of the way she sang, people thought we sound alike, but when you actually record my voice and compare, we actually sound very different. When I on stage, I don't really follow her moves to the dot; most of the time, I forgot myself and imagined how would she interpret the number, and before I knew it, the performance is over..hahah"

Backed by 5 dancers, a full band and four backup dancers, most of the cast and crew of this production, including Lezard are all working hard since the conception of this show, without any payment to raise fund for Project Juley. We hope you could support our cause and lend us your support.

新加坡唯一专业模仿梅艳芳的反串艺人，Lezard 在舞台飞跃了十多年，决定洗尽铅华，投入宗教之前，将在12月1日，牛车水人民剧场内作一场告别舞台筹款演唱会。

这场由艺人娱乐公司‘Zephyhdom’主办的演唱会长达将近两小时。Lezard 真枪实弹的现场演唱出梅艳芳小姐的名曲。有些曾听过Lezard 歌声的人觉得毛骨悚然。“可怕。怎么唱得这么象。。。”曾有人在她Blog 里这么写：“这位先生，唱歌，跳舞，举手投足，一举一动，甚至连呼吸都象极梅姐。”

Lezard 答到：“其实我们的歌声并不相似，我想我唱的时候，抓得到梅姐的唱腔和感觉吧。要是你把我的歌声录下来比较，根本是不相象的。在我演出的时候，通常没有刻意的模仿梅姐舞步的一举一动，演出时，我把我自己忘掉，然后从内心感觉梅艳芳会怎么演绎这首歌曲，自然而然的又唱又跳，就这样一首歌搞定了。”

‘最后梅好的回响’筹款演唱会大部分的艺人和工作人员，包括 Lezard 都是一分钱也不收的义务帮‘吉乐计划’筹款。我们大家希望你能慷慨解囊，支持这场演出。

Swan Song - 最后梅好的回响 - The Last Tribute to Anita Mui.
Lezard Cheung, known as Singapore's Anita Mui, will sing his very last this 1st Dec 2009 as he is permanently retiring from show business in favour of a spiritual life. One of his last acts as a performer will be to raise funds for the kids in India ( Project Juley! ) to have a school to call their own, and get an education.

His friends, from all faiths, all walks of life, have all gathered to make this last concert truly special. From dancers, to magicians and even clowns, everyone is donating their time and effort in a bid to raise enough for the school to be built. The children in the mountains of India, near Tibet are unable to go to school, as the six months of winter prevents them from doing little else except survive. This school that will be built will not just educate, they will house the kids and give them free food, lodging and teaching.

Rainbow Funtasy - A Bubble, A Hope & A Dream

Vivien Goh started Zephyhdom ( The One Stop Talent Source ) in 1995 when she was still 17 years old. After nearly 15years, she is going back to the roots, theatre. This performance is neither a musical nor pure theatre, it has elements of magic, mime, clowning, puppetry, ventriloquism, bubbles, juggling and balloon sculpting all rolled into one show. With a central theme of dreams, we hope that this show will touch the families watching this unique combination of fun and comedy with a poetic central storyline and instill in the kids a sense of hope, a bubble of a dream. Dreams are all too important, and Vivien Goh has experienced, together with her performers, how important it is to be able to dream, and dream BIG!

Performers that we known and love to watch will be in this show, Sweetheart the Clown, Kiki Tay the magician, Uncle Jimbo Magic, the silly Plasticine men, mascot characters and more! Totally fun, totally interactive, kids from 3 - 10 years old would enjoy the show immensely while parents will be able to appreciate the other artistic components.

As artistes in Singapore, we feel very privileged to be able to build a career on making people happy. "Build a Hope, Artistes for Project Juley!" is our own small way of making a difference in the world. Banding together to create this show, we have experienced so many wonderful people and companies sponsoring different parts that help bring this show to you. Reinforcing the fact that we are indeed very blessed, we hope to bless the Ladakhi children as well.

According to Vivien Goh, Sweetheart the Clown, "Children need to be given a chance at education. Instead of giving them a fish, we are teaching them to fish. I first got interested in helping to raise funds for the kids when I watched the Project Juley! video. The 10 year old girl who was crying because she wanted to go to school really touched my soul and I wanted to do something meaningful to help. Finding out more about Thekchen Choling (Singapore) and Project Juley!, I was further excited about the possibility of spreading the happiness that we have to the world. As such, "Build a hope, Artistes for Juley" was created. We will be producing two shows and donating the ticket sales to help fulfil the Ladakhi children's dream of an education."
